Unless there's some untoward news in the next 24 hours the club will re-open it's doors at 12.01am on Monday and I hear that an invitation only event is being held at that early hour as the first hit-out. The tail of COVID cases is concerning with 11 further cases today so safety precautions are likely to be in place for a while.

Cases seems to be tracking in the right direction and my pick is that we will emerge from level 3 this week. Armed with a good level of knowledge about precautionary measures we should be able to re-open the club quicker than last time but this will require liaison with Auckland Council. It's conceivable that club night this Thursday will go ahead.

Regrettably, the club's doors will close at mid-day today in accordance with the government lockdown restrictions and remain so until midnight on Friday at the earliest.
Bookings will be blocked in i-squash and you are not allowed on club premises.
So please stay home, stay safe, and let's hope that this new outbreak can be contained rapidly and my next e-mail will be concerned with reopening arrangements.

Orders are increasing for the new club shirt which our sponsors have generously offered to part-fund bringing the cost down to approx $40. There will be the options of polo shirts for men and polo shirts or singlets for the ladies. Please advise if interested if you've not already ordered.

Staging our tournament earlier in the season and post-lockdown obviously paid off as we had 60 enrolments (including 19 home club players) compared to 36 last year. Entrants were spread across 9 divisions including 3 ladies divisions.
