the committee have resolved to stage the 2024 club champs as a tournament between Thurs 20th & Sat 22nd February. We will also play a summer league in the preceding weeks so players should be ready for action!

Some intense action on our courts this weekend with 5 of our men and one lady in action. Better than that we won 2 titles being Div 2 Ernie Chen and Div 3 Peter Hendrick. Thanks to committee members Dan, Graham & Neil for their help in running the tournament and we are planning to host another next year. Family night this Friday from 7pm - I'm keen to revive this event and will sound out families at coaching this week about their availability for Friday. Simple concept with a plan to play some squash/ pool/ soccer followed by a bring a plate supper. Early RSVP's appreciated!

Thursday comp from 7pm - We didn't get enough players for the tag night this week but instead with 6 players just played a straight round robin. Morne was the clear winner winning every match despite playing with an old style round wooden racket. Newby, Peter Hendrick, was second and Graham third.

Tag Comp this Thursday from 7pm - Our club nights have gone into a lull recently so to rev things up we're going to stage a quickfire comp this Thursday. Concept is that we have 3 strong teams with them playing alternately against someone of the same level. Point scores continue through each team contest and bonus points can be scored through challenging your opponent to a pool or table tennis contest. RSVP asap to confirm your spot. Drink prizes and free re-gripping service on offer!
