Interclub final round This Mon/ Tues features the last round of Winter interclub after which there will be a 3 week break before Spring interclub commences on Oct 17/18. Teams have to be registered by Fri 7th Oct and if keen to join the ranks for the next 7 week comp please make contact. Interclub news follows below including some great semi-final results.

Auckland Junior team member Probably for the first time in club history we have a junior member playing for Auckland in junior nationals being Tarun Sathish. A fine achievement and well done.

We held an effective committee meeting on Tuesday with Neil & Shahrane'e joining Graham and myself as newly appointed committee members. Dan also attended as Clubs Night co-ordinator and, with minimal persuasion, opted to take a fully-fledged committee role so welcome Dan! Please feel free to approach any of these folk for support while I am away.

Pennant presentations this Thursday/ Adult coaching prog starts next Sat/ Need a racket?

Our top two men's teams both won pennants in the Winter 1 module and they're both invited to the club this Thurs for a inter-team challenge - alongside regular casual play - and to get photos of the two winning teams for our club room wall. We'll also celebrate completion of the refurb of our club room - ALL INVITED!

Fantastic performance by our 4 skippers to get full teams on the park throughout the whole of Superchamps given the scale of our ambition !o field 4 teams while also hosting 2 grades. In the event titles eluded us with each team reporting one match win. But being in the frame for this prestigious tournament is an impressive achievement and thanks to all the players for their commitment over the past 5 days. But most of all to Graham who masterminded arrangements at our club which went without a hitch. Photos of three of our teams appear below for your scrap books!

Superchamps: This tournament commences on Weds and runs until Sunday with a record 4 SP teams competing. None are top seeds so it will be tough going and I'm sure they'd love your support. With 5 players in action, contests usually straddle at least 3 hours. Below this section is a table detailing the fixtures and with 2 teams playing at home I'm sure we'll gain some home town support!

COURT FLOODING: Thanks to Shahranee'e for alerting me to the flooding on Tuesday as a result of which council despatched roofers to check the roof and find this down pipe blocked. Remarkable as it was only cleared 3 months ago. I'm not sure it's the only cause of leaks but at least this aspect could be simply remedied. Please advise if your come across leaks yourself.
