Back with a vengeance! Somewhat inevitably our doors will reopen at 6am on Sunday which is great timing for the activities below. But we do have to be careful so a reminder; Not to enter the premises if feeling unwell Ensure that you either scan the QR code or sign in on the contact sheet Use hand sanitiser After your match please wipe all contact surfaces using the spray foam and cloths provided

Roof passes inspection, summer league update, interclub squads, 100th member, hoping for a short lockdown

I was part of a roof inspection last Friday and the roof gained approval subject to the placement of some wooden support and insulation underneath the ventilation pipes pictured below. The club will also be funding some lights for club signage while the scaffolding is in place to simplify installation. Ventilation will not be operative until new fuse boxes are installed for both the squash and tennis clubs, a project already underway.

Hard to believe that the club's doors will close once again at 6am tomorrow in accordance with the government lockdown restrictions and remain closed for 7 days at the earliest.

Great to get this underway and thanks to all those who turned out on Thursday at short notice and in a couple of cases have since played catch-up matches. The current table is shown below showing Team D with a significant lead although helped by Sophie having played two matches. Seed 3 results are wrong in that Mark played Daniella but this doesn't affect team scores and will be corrected after round 2 tomorrow. I'm aware that Chris is unavailable for his match vs Matt Miller, please let me know of any other absences.

This internal round robin competition will commence 15th Feb and run for 3 or 4 weeks. No cost and subscribe via Facebook here. This will be a good prelude to interclub and an opportunity for prospective players to gain some friendly competitive experience.

Great to see the scaffolding go up on Thursday with sheets being delivered on Monday and the work starting Tuesday, It will pay to play at the opposite end from where the work is happening to avoid noise and dust. Hence; • Book courts 3 & 4 - Weds 27th Jan - Mon 1st Feb • Book courts 1 & 2 - Tues 2nd - Fr 4th Feb • Hours of work 7am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Roof replacement timetable/ Club nights in full swing/ Tournaments on horizon

Great to report that the long awaited roof replacement gets underway shortly with the following timetable... • Scaffold to start going up 25th of January • Sheet delivery - 28th of Jan • Commence works 28th of Jan (looking from tennis courts, working will progress left to right) • Hours of work 7am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday Estimated finishing date is 12th of Feb including scaffolding dropped and allowing for 2 rain days.
