Club Shirts: These have now been received and recipients will receive an invoice for $30 shortly. Thanks to court sponsors, Affordable Boat Hire, Barfoots Beach Haven, Lisk Projects and Affordable Dentists for funding roughly half the cost of the shirts. Also, thanks To Tan for the logo design.

Two pennants captured - Well done to our Womens 2 and Mens 3 (boys) team on winning their league in the most recent pennant. Special mention of Womens 2 captain, Sam, whose 6th consecutive win helped her team to victory. Match reports below.

Club tourney winners/ Interclub finals this week/ 50th gear for sale/ Holiday Prog

With 2 club adults adding to 10 juniors in the draw our chances of a senior title appeared slim but Darshana delivered eclipsing ex-SP player, Misty, 3/1 in the W1 final. One of our newby juniors, Joseph, took out the "J" grade draw with Cooper runner-up and they are pictured below. Elsewhere, Cory lost a 4-set M5 final to Hemish with their different emotions telling the tale. And in M2 Surya came runner-up making him 6th overall. We had a skeletal team running the tournament with so few of our players involved so special thanks to Neil for his support on the first 2 days and Ernie & Martyn for running the board on days 2 & 3. We were sabotaged by 3 of the committee being ill and one running a Matariki programme. But we got there in the end and the 44 entrants enjoyed the comp with our newly renovated courts very well received.

We now have nearly entrants and have confirmed the tournament. Entries will be open until midnight today via i squash here. Would be great to have more than one club female and our interclub players might appreciate the fine-tuning before interclub finals and Superchamps. We have a very strong field with the prospect of 4 A graders at the top of the draw.

Superchamps squads/ Interclub news/ Renovations nearly done/ NZ Honours recipient

Superchamps; The club will field 2 teams in this annual competition; Mens D: Cory, CJ, Zach, Logan & two from Dan/ Andrew/ Tanmay Womens D: Janice/ Darshana/ Shahrane'e/ Sam/ Aline/ Karen/Janine/ Steph The competition will run from 22-28 July with the grading cut-off on 7th June and team lists required by July 3rd.

Superchamps; The deadline for borrowing players from other clubs is this Thursday and we have a player in mind from BB to strengthen a handy looking Womens D grade squad. We will also have a D grade Mens team with the possibility of a composite Womens E grade team with either BB or Devonport. Our 2022 runners-up Mens C grade team will not feature this year as most of the squad have hit B grade! More news in later circulars with the comp in the last week of July.

Pennant celebration: This ended up becoming a comp between 4 mens pairings playing squash and pool against each of the other duos. It was a great opportunity to re-open our newly refurbished pool room and the format proved a real success. Congrats to Andrew & Pierre on their win and we hope that on the back of this that Andrew resumes his interclub career for Mens 2!
