Pennant celebration: we've had 8 sign ups so far for this celebratory event this Thursday. A chance for our Women's 2 team (Spring). Masters (Spring), Women's 1 (Autumn) & Men's junior team (Autumn) to turn out for a team photo and enjoy the fun. We'll bring iut the old rackets as handicaps as required in a team tag competition. Pennant celebration: Cause for celebration is our capture of 2 pennants in Autumn interclub to add to 4 won in the Spring pennant at the end of last year, Your committee will host a social at the club with a sausage sizzle and tag tournament. Club Renovations: Good progress over the past 7 days and this weekend Morne and I embarked on the pool room and kitchen renovation. Offers of help would be appreciated as we complete these 2 areas and embark on the stairwell. Got lucky this week when a council electrician, visiting to get the entrance way lights operating, was persuaded to tidy up some redundant loose wiring.

Renewal invoices will be sent from MYOB today to all continuing members and I have already removed those who I know to have either left the club or indicated their intention to do so. These are due for payment during April during which time your membership will remain valid.

Some fast and furious action on our courts today with some home-town winners in Misty, who squeaked past Janice in the Div 1 final, and Darshana who took out Div 2. The really exciting development this week was news that the Lion Foundation have approved our funding application for $16,400 to install acoustic panels above each of our courts, Allied to this we have also elected to cover the rear wall of the upstairs corridor with soundproofing foam to further subdue the extreme reverberations that on-court noise generates. Indications are that it will reduce from a current level of 4.06 secs to 1.98 secs echo time with installation of 50m2 of material in the corridor upstairs reducing noise across the spectrum by 40%.
