Club A2 & below tournament: we're up to a healthy 21 entrants in our annual club tournament but with just Ernie from our own club. I'm talking with our juniors this week to expand the J grade draw and I'd be grateful if our interclub players could both consider enrolling themselves and raise with interclub opponents tomorrow. This is an important club fund raiser and we further club entries to help with the organisation (poster below).

Family Night/ Ladies coaching/ Court markings/ SP tournament 26-28 June

Court markings: Our efforts to remove the marks had modest success but it's likely we will have to sand the floor of court 1. The costs of this exercise will be in excess of $500. Please do not step on court with marking soles! New signs will go up on Thursday to further emphasise this requirement.

The committee reviewed survey results recently and are grateful to the 23 respondees (55% male, 45% female). Of these, 42% have been members for over 2 years and 60% play interclub so it seemed like a good cross-section of the club. Here are some key findings;

Our club hosted the first leg of the Junior Quadrangular Series on Sunday with 7 of the 20 entrants being from SP. Almost all our players won one of their 3 matches but only Blake Saward featured on the rostrum being the Div 2 plate winner.

Tournament sign-ups (Mar 28-30th): we have both our annual Ladies & Junior tournaments taking place over this weekend (see posters below) with just 2 club members signed up for each. If these are to happen and be meaningful to the club they really need a good club turn-out. If eligible please enrol via My Squash here select competitions/ individual competitions & then filter on Auckland/ Shepherds Park & the appropriate tournament.
